Teen Contraception

There are many teenagers who do not have much knowledge about contraception. They get intimate without taking precautions and end up getting pregnant. The rate of pregnancy has grown very fast in the U.S since a couple of years. This is not a time for a teen to get pregnant when they are not prepared. Every teenager should know what he/she can go through of having unsafe sex. Its a mutual decision the woman and the man need decides if they want to have sex and if they are prepared with the out come. A contraception is basically taken to avoid pregnancy and to have safe sex.

Contraception-

Before taking any contraception its always better to consult a doctor or discuss it with someone elder and before you choose a contraception you need to consider a few things like:

  • Which type of contraception are available where you stay
  • If your beliefs and value allow you to get into an intimate relation
  • If your health permits you to go ahead with a physical relation
  • What kind of relation you are into

Types of Contraception-

Few contraception are for women that control the hormones and few are for men.

  • Vaginal ring
  • Sterilisation
  • Condoms
  • Pills
  • Emergency contraception
  • Contraception injections
  • IUD

If a girl who is in her teen gets pregnant she goes through physical and emotional stress more than the boy. Since she is not prepared for something like this it leaves a huge impact her life. To get a child into the world is a big decision which comes with responsibility. So being a parent caution your teen about unsafe sex and give them the knowledge they require.
