Sir Winston Churchill once said, “The empires of the future are the empires of the mind.” The more you believe in the power of your mind, the better the results in your real life.

Therefore, you do not have to be the smartest person to win a competition, games or rivalry. You need to learn to do the right thing at the right time.

In all kind of battle, someone who has the best physical and mental preparation will be the winner. Hence, you will need good psychological strategies.

The suggestions on how to be a good fighter in a mental game are as follows:

1. Create a strong basis

Do you remember what makes you happy, strong and content? Is it someone special, self-pride or something else?

Once you have known the things that give you a strong mental power, make them your basis in a bid to reach your goal.

For example, you love your mother very much, and you want to make her happy. Then, when you follow a competition, remember that your mom will be very happy if you win the competition.

2. Focus

By focusing and concentrating on your goal, you will make your body and mind in a better and more ideal condition.

Focusing on your goal also helps you to conquer your ego. You will be able to pursue your goal tirelessly.

3. Mental Practice

“Mental practice is the symbolic rehearsal of a physical activity in the absence of any gross muscular movements” (Richardson, 1967).

Mental practice is as important as physical practice. Use your imagination to get the perfect description of how you should perform. Moreover, several studies have proven the effectiveness of mental practice to enhance performance.

4. Plan B

Having a backup plan will broaden your perspective and make you a more flexible person. So, when your first plan fails at a critical time, you can shift into plan B as soon as possible without delay.
